Last Chances to Make the NOGA Tour Championship, Lewis Cup

Just two NOGA Great Lakes Auto Scratch Series events remain this season where competitors can earn Player of the Year points toward the NOGA Tour Championship at Firestone and the Lewis Cup at Westfield!

The entry deadline is midnight tonight, Monday, August 8th, for the NOGA Great Lakes Auto Scratch Stroke Play #3 at Glenmoor Country Club in Canton on Monday, August 12th.

Two weeks after that, on Monday, August 26th, is the NOGA Great Lakes Auto Scratch Stroke Play #4, the season POY points finale at Catawba Island Club in Port Clinton. Entries for that event opened today.

After the completion of these final two Series events, the top 15 players from the NOGA Player of the Year standings in Championship and Senior divisions will be invited to compete in the NOGA Tour Championship at Firestone Country Club on September 8 – 9. These 30 players will get to enjoy the world-class conditions of Firestone’s Fazio and South Courses for a low, highly subsidized entry fee amount.

Then, after the POY points from that Tour Championship are finalized, invitations will be sent for the Lewis Cup at Westfield Country Club on September 28 -29. This Ams vs. Seniors team competition now stands at 2-1 Ams, and the Seniors definitely want to even the score. Players must have competed in three (3) NOGA events this season to be eligible for that invitation, with invitations made from the POY points list until 12 players are committed for each team.

The NOGA Player of the Year Standings show who stands where right now. Get your entries in today to better your position and earn your invitations to these coveted September NOGA events!
