This is a week for “beginnings” in Northeast Ohio Golf! The weatherman is calling for sunny skies and 75 degree days all through the extended weekend, so register today for the season-starting events you want to play:
– The Greater Cleveland Skins Game kicks off its 2009 schedule this Thursday at Fowlers Mill in Chesterland with a 4:30 starting time and a big new announcement for its players (coming soon!);
– the first ever 6-Man Chippewa Cash Scramble will be played this coming Saturday with over 20 teams expected — so get your team signed up right now while there are still a few spaces available;
– the Golf Galaxy Tour starts its 2009 campaign at Stonewater Golf Club in Highland Heights on Saturday as well, with signups open until Wednesday at 6 p.m. (use the promo code NEOHGOLF to save $10 on your registration!);
– SCAGA starts their season with a 2-player scramble at Zoar Village Golf Club with an 8 a.m. shotgun on Sunday;
– the Yankee Run 5-Man scramble will be played Sunday, but it is sold out;
– The Championship Golf Association has its $20 Skins Game kickoff at Greyhawk Golf Club in LaGrange scheduled for Sunday, too;
– and the Monday Scratch League at Chippewa begins April 27 (preceded by the $100 Big Skins game at 11:30 a.m for those who love playing top-flight golf all day for just $25!).
Great weather and competitive golf: this is why we play…
