WEST LAFAYETTE, IND.- The Kent State men’s golf team secured its first tournament win of the season after posting a 54-hole total of 852 (-12) at the Boilermaker Invitational.
The Flashes came into the final round trailing off the lead by seven strokes, and came back and won the tournament after posting a final round score of 279 (-9).
Kent State had two players finish in the top-5 with Jared Wilson leading the way with a second place finish. Wilson posted a career-low 67 (-5) in the final round after he fired five birdies on a bogey-free round. Wilson finished the tournament at 208 (-8).
2020 NEO Am champion Cade Breitenstine finished in third place with a 212 (-4) score. Breitenstin finished the final round with a 70 (-2) score after going 17 holes for par or better with three birdies.
