John KabaskyJohn Kabasky (pictured left) fired a 2-over par score of 73 to grab the first round lead in the 2015 Chippewa Championship in Doylestown Ohio on Saturday.

Four players sit at 75: defending champion David Trier, past champion Ken Koprivec, Mike Witmer and Chuck Deremer.

The greens were super firm and fast, and just enough wind blew in the afternoon to make play a challenge. But the golf course was set up fairly, so with prudent play a good score was there for the taking.

17 players sit within six shots of the lead, and given the nature of the tournament anyone could win on Sunday…
