Justin Lower from Canal Fulton easily made it through the pre-qualifying event for the PGA Tour’s Q-School on Friday, shooting 12-under par at Brunswick Country Club in Georgia Sept. 19-21. He finished in fourth place with scores of 67-68-69=204 and advances to First Stage of Q-school starting in mid-October.
He joins Jake Scott of Strongsville who advanced the previous week in West Palm Beach.
Mike Emery of Canton didn’t fare as well on Friday, as he couldn’t recover from a really tough start. Scores of 79-72-73=224 at Arbor Links in Nebraska City, NE left him at T49, and the only the top 37 and ties advanced.
