Juniors looking to play in a County Championship have two upcoming events to choose from in Summit County and Portage County.
The Summit County Junior Golf Championship will be played July 8 – 10 at Good Park Golf Course in Akron, Ohio. All junior golfers 18 years of age and under are eligible to participate. The first day’s play will qualify each player into a flight, which then becomes a two-day medal play tournament Girls, youngsters ages 11 & 12, and 8 to 10 will compete in their own flights. $60.00 entry fee entitles the participants to 3 days of golf, prizes, and lunch each day, and trophies for flight winners. The Portage County Junior Golf Championship will be held at Windmill Lakes GC and Oak Knolls GC July 27 – 28th for boys and girls ages 11 – 19 in three divisions.
