June Rounds Played in Cleveland Down -7.3% vs 2018

The number of golf rounds played in June 2019 was down -7.3% vs the number of rounds played in June 2018 for Greater Cleveland, but year-to-date those numbers are still to the positive against last year’s totals.

The frequent rains of June 2019 sent rounds played in the Cleveland metro area down again for the second consecutive month, nearly matching the May decreases of -7.6%.

But overall, rounds played for the year through June are still up +1.7% overall for the Cleveland area, thanks to the big play numbers of January, March and April vs 2018, according to the latest report from Golf Datatech.

For all of Ohio, play figures are down -2.9% for June-to-June, but up +2.5% YTD 2019 vs 2018.

Regionally, Ohio is in “East North Central”. For that region, rounds played were up a tiny +0.3% for June, but down a tiny -0.2% for the year. So in essence, no changes 2019 vs 2018.

Nationwide, overall rounds played are exactly flat at 0.0% for June 2019 vs 2018, but down -1.0% overall year-to-date…
