Strongsville native Jake Scott has been granted a sponsor exemption into the Web.com Tour’s Cleveland Open, to be played at Lakewood Country Club June 5-8th.
Scott has conditional status on the 2014 Web.com Tour, but his Q-School finish position has not provided any starts yet this season.
Being a well-known local player with proven national talent in winning the PGA National Assistants Champion in 2012 earned him consideration for this event. (That and being a past Cleveland Am Champion, of course. Wink wink.)
See the Cleveland Open’s press release on their exemptions here.
Jake is also playing in the U.S. Open Sectional Qualifier at Springfield Country Club on June 2, having advanced from the Cleveland Local Qualifier at Weymouth CC on May 13th.
Go get it in the next two weeks, Jake!
