Former Highland High golfer and Hinckley native Jessica Porvasnik posted a tournament record 13-under par over three rounds at the Westbrook Invitational for the Ohio State Buckeyes on February 25th in Peoria, Arizona.
The team shot 26-under par and won by a record 18 strokes.
The next day, the FRESHMAN was named Big Ten Women’s Golfer of the Week.
Porvasnik finished with 14 birdies over three rounds and recorded her first career hole-in-one during round two on the 163-yard second hole using an 8-iron.
Porvasnik kicked off her record-breaking tournament with a 7-under 65 in round one, breaking the 11-year single round Buckeye record of 66. She followed that with rounds of 67 and 71 on her way to 203 for the tournament.
