2013 Summit County Amateur champ Parker Hewit of Westfield Center posted a 2-over par 72 yesterday during the first round of stroke play at the U.S. Amateur Championship in Brookline, MA, and sits at T45 in his effort to get into match play.
Local qualifying medalist Andrew Bailey of Rocky River shot 74 in round one, but is fading in his second round and sits 8-over midway through today.
