The good people at Majors Challenge have provided Northern Ohio Golf with access to a pretty sweet online system for running PGA TOUR Fantasy Golf events. The software is well designed and the admin seems pretty straight forward, so we’d like your help with a beta test to see if it’s worth doing some additional fantasy events later this year.
The beta test entry won’t cost you a dime — but that also means there won’t be any prizes at the end either. This beta will be strictly for fun and evaluation purposes.
You’ll register on the system, then pick a team of 12 PGA TOUR players for the upcoming Sentry Tournament of Champions at Kapalua on January 5-8. Scores from 8 of your 12 players of will count for your team. Check out the HOW TO PLAY FAQs for details; it’s super easy. There is a real-time daily leaderboard of the teams entered into the event along side a real-time leaderboard of the player’s scores; it’s all very slick and will make watching the golf on TV that much more fun.
Then after the Sentry beta test event is over, we’ll send out another email to get your feedback.
If enough people think it’s fun and worth doing, we’ll run a few more fantasy events in 2023 using the same setup: the four majors, the WM, The Players, The Memorial, etc. We’ll collect a few bucks per entered team (amount TBD) so there is a little juice in the game, then give prizes to the top-3 finishers after each event.
