Kevin Kleps of Crain’s Cleveland Business reports that the City of Westlake has contracted with Fry/Straka Global Golf Course Design of Dublin, Ohio to create a ‘unique’ golf replacement for its struggling Meadowood Golf Course.
Westlake Mayor Dennis Clough decided early on to work with local golf course mogul/media personality Jimmy Hanlin as a consultant in the decision-making process.
After many months of architect meetings and proposals, the city picked Fry/Straka — the same architects who designed Little Mountain and StoneWater Golf Clubs, two courses operated by Hanlin.
Now Hanlin and Fry/Straka principal Jason Straka will be drawing up plans for something different at 29800 Center Ridge Road in Westlake.
