Golfweek’s Best 2023: Northern Ohio Report

Golfweek magazine puts out an annual compilation of five USA golf course lists, which they collectively call Golfweek’s Best. In that list, they cover the Top 200 Modern Courses (built 1960 or after), the Top 200 Classic Courses (built before 1960), the Top 100 Best Courses You Can Play, the Best Courses You Can Play by State, and the Best Private Clubs by State.

Let’s see how Northern Ohio fares in all five lists:

Top 200 Modern Courses USA

Not a strong showing for Northern Ohio courses built after 1960. Only one area course appears in that nationwide list of 200, albeit a solid representative, pictured above:
T133 Sand Ridge (T128) Chardon OH, 1998, Tom Fazio
