The Northern Ohio Golf Association announced its 2019 Tournament Schedule back on Feb 1st. The list of host sites include many of the region’s top golf courses. Sand Ridge. Glenmoor. Lakewood. Youngstown. Barrington. Elyria. Shaker Heights. Firestone North. Shady Hollow. Fairlawn. Portage. Silver Lake.
Two weeks ago, we posted our interview with NOGA’s Robb Schulze. While discussing the “New NOGA”, we noted the fact that this website would soon offer a simple and inexpensive way for any local player to compete in these NOGA events.
How inexpensive, you ask? Only $35 for the year. How simple? Just register!
The NEOH.GOLF Club is now open as an official Type 3 NOGA Club. That means its members are eligible to receive a USGA GHIN Handicap and play in the events on the NOGA Tournament schedule.
And even though the NOGA host sites roster is impressive, you can play these clubs without breaking the bank: the typical entry fee is just $100 per player which includes golf, cart, a delicious buffet lunch, and prizes to the top finishers.
The tournaments are flighted by handicap, too, meaning every level of player is welcome to compete, both men and women. You’ll play in a group within your division, usually with gross and net score winners, always keeping the experience fun.
As an additional bonus, 2019 members also get a one-year subscription to Golf Digest (or a one-year extension if you already subscribe) and a nice list of other benefits, too. It’s quite the deal.
Entries open on April 1st for all of the 2019 NOGA Tournaments. So make sure you have your official, active USGA GHIN Number and the required NOGA Member Profile established before that date.
