Brian Myers of Wadsworth, Ohio, a Mount Union University golfer, won the 2024 Fox Den Club Championship with rounds of 63-65 this weekend. Myers’ total of 14-under par included 16 birdies and one eagle over the two days, easily eclipsing the past tournament record.
Jack Vojtko of Stow, an Ohio State Buckeye golfer, kept pace with a two-day total of 13-under par, recording 15 birdies and two eagles over two days.
Vojtko also made the finish interesting.
On the 18th hole on Sunday, Myers had a two-shot lead. Both Myers and Vojtko launched their drives greenside, about two feet apart from each other. Myers made a great chip shot to about 5 feet, which looked like he had sealed the victory. But Vojtko then proceeded to chip-in for eagle, forcing Myers to make his 5-footer to win the tournament.
