Mike Simpson and Jim Krivanek posted a sizzling 13-under par total score of 93 across scramble, better ball and alternate shot formats to win the 27-hole 2018 Turkeyfoot Fall 2-Man Jumble on Saturday.
Shooting just 3-under par in the scramble, the pair finished strong with a 6-under par better ball score and a 4-under par alternate shot.
They nipped Dave Sotka and Nick Anagnost by a single shot. Sotka and Anagnost started off hot with a 6-under scramble and 5-under better ball, but only managed 1-under par for the alternate shot.
Another shot back in third place was Howard Clendenin and Steve Blackburn Jr., who also started off hot with 5-under par scramble and 4-under par better ball. But a 2-under par in alternate shot left them two shots back overall.
ACE WINNER!: The shot of the day belonged to Bob Blaze, who made a HOLE IN ONE on the tough par-3 15th. He and partner Pete Sirianni doubled-down on taking the entire Better Ball skins pot by also making the only birdie on the par-3 13th hole. They added to their haul by making one of two eagles on the 22nd hole for a least-tied skin. Congrats Bob!
