David Trier of Stow, a multiple-time Fox Den course champion, has done it again. This time, David shot a 3-under par 69 in the second round of the 2016 Fox Den Course Championship to earn a four-shot come-from-behind victory over Brian Smith of Amherst.

Finishing in third place was Taylor Rising, a 22-year-old from Stow who plays in the Scratch League on Wednesday nights. This past Wednesday during league, Taylor had his first-ever hole-in-one, on the third hole using a 7-iron. Three days later in Saturday’s first round of the Fox Den Course Championship, Taylor made his second career hole-in-one on the same hole with the same club! Then on Sunday, he hit his tee shot to 8 feet and made his putt for birdie. That’s playing the hole well!
Jack Vojtko, who is 10 years old and played in the A Flight from the back tees, also had a hole-in-one in Sunday’s round using his 4-hybrid on the ninth hole. It was Jack’s second career hole-in-one.
13-year-old Dan Page of Stow won the A Flight, shooting a 86-74 = 160. Jack Vojtko, age 10, and Jordon Jolly, a 17-year-old Senior from Stow, tied for second place in the A Flight with a 165 total.
