The Walsh Jesuit Warriors (pictured above) shot a 314 to finish in fifth place on Saturday at the Division I Boy’s Golf State Championships in Columbus, leading the teams from Northeast Ohio.
Will Kurtz of Hudson finished tied for third place overall individually with a 73 and earned First Team All-Ohio Honors.
Zak Supelak of Walsh, Cade Breitenstine of Green, Gunner McCollins of Massillon Perry, and Brian Terlesky of Boardman all shot 76 and earned Second Team All-Ohio Honors.
Other local team finishes were Boardman in 6th, Hudson in 9th, Green in 10th, and Wooster in 12th.
Due to inclement weather on Friday that canceled play, the tournament was shortened to an 18-holes played Saturday only.
