The Zoar Golf Course Fall 2-man Scramble was played Saturday afternoon, and the cream of Northeast Ohio golf rose to the top. Difficult pin placements greeted the 31 teams, making par a premium.
Nick Anagost and Brian Smith were joined at the top of the scoreboard by Matt Torrence and Matt Dodge from Western Pennsylvania, after both teams carded 65.
Troy Schonover and Jeff Mallette were third at 66.
Brant Harbert and Anthony Risilati tied for fourth place with Caine Bricker and Bob Harstine at 67.
Three teams tied for sixth place with 68: Eric and Billy Crone, Matt and Brian Gasser, Tom and Ethan Doon.
There was only one skin won on the day for $620 and that went to the team of Dodge and Torrence. Matt Dodge carved a 4-iron into the cup on the long par three fourth hole — his first ever ace!
