The Cleveland State Men’s Golf Team captured its fifth straight Horizon League Championship and ninth overall in the last 13 years, shooting a final round 294 on Tuesday at the El Campeon Course at Mission Inn Resort in Florida.
The Vikings entered the final round with an 11-shot lead and carded the lowest round among the eight teams for the second straight day. CSU was the only team in the field to break 300 more than one time, following Sunday’s first round 303 with a tournament-low round of 292 yesterday.
The Vikings now advance to the NCAA Regionals, which will be contested from May 14-16. The NCAA selection show will take place on Wednesday, May 2nd at 5:30 pm and will be broadcast live on Golf Channel.
