The Golf Dome in Chagrin Falls will re-open in late February 2022 under new management, after recently being purchased by PGA Professional Matthew Creech.
Creech, who is also the General Manager at Mayfield Country Club and Sand Ridge Golf Club, will make significant investments in renovating the East Washington Street facility. Improvements include the complete replacement of the exterior dome fabric, new synthetic turf areas, new hitting mats, the installation of a tour-quality indoor putting green, and the addition of five high-tech TrackMan Studio Simulators.
Creech also plans to employ several PGA Professionals as coaches and teachers, and will rebrand the facility as a training center for golfers of all ages and abilities.
“We’re going to focus on Complete Player Development,” said Creech when asked about his plans. “The center will offer year-round programming for players of all ages: full swing and short game instruction, fitness and mental game assessments and training, virtual on-course playing sessions, plus a series of competitions and tournaments.”
“Junior golf will be a significant focus at The Golf Dome, too,” Creech continued, “from beginner junior clinics all the way through comprehensive programs for elite junior players.”
Monthly and annual golf memberships will be available for individuals and families. Members will have access to an online scheduling system for instruction, practice studio time, and the TrackMan simulators.
News of these plans earned praise from the Northern Ohio PGA Section’s Executive Director, David Griffith. “It is exciting to learn that The Golf Dome in Chagrin Falls will be reopening in early 2022,” said Griffith. “Matt Creech, our Section president, brings a wealth of knowledge of PGA programming that will surely make an immediate impact. The Golf Dome concept provides a unique opportunity for players to develop and maintain their game year-round.”
In addition to the indoor golf facilities housed within the 33,000 square foot dome structure, the property also features an 18-hole mini-golf putting course and an area with batting cages that will open seasonally.
