Michael Bernard of the Dayton suburb of Huber Heights became the youngest champion in the 104-year history of the Ohio Amateur Championship today. The 16-year-old posted a final-round even-par 71 at Kirtland Country Club in Willoughby to finish the 72-hole tournament with a score of 7-under 277, good for a five shot victory.
