NORTHERN OHIO PGA

Cold temperatures and a persistent, chilling rain left the course unplayable and caused the cancellation of the first round on Wednesday at Firestone.

Brandywine’s Matt Urban + Michael Balcar shot 9-under 62 in the better-ball format to win the NOPGA Pro-Assistants at Canton Brookside.

The Northern Ohio PGA hosts 144 senior players on Wednesday, May 29th and Thursday, May 30th on the Fazio Course at Firestone Country Club.

Mark Bixler and Blake Sattler shared the title at Elyria CC, each shooting 2-under par 70; Mitch Camp topped the Senior Division with a 69.

Blake Sattler tied the Lakewood CC course record with a 62 to win the Stableford; Mike Stone won the Senior Division over his brother Steve.

Blake Sattler + Sean Kenily fired 64 to win by two strokes and secure the #2 seed in the NOPGA's Season Long Match Play Championship.

Cory Kumpf of Brookside CC and Blake Sattler from Willie’s Custom Golf Center were crowned Shootout champions at Fairlawn Country Club.

Jason Carbone, Jim Troy, Steve Mulcahy, Jaysen Hansen, and Rob Moss join 300 PGA Professionals in Frisco, TX next week for the 57th event.
