Buckeye Tour Launches Pro Golf Event Series Across Toledo and Cleveland Area Sites

A new pro golf mini-tour series has been announced with a mid-May kickoff. It will feature 11 events across Northern Ohio, running as far east as Boulder Creek GC in Streetsboro, as far south as The Quarry in Canton, and as far west as Maumee Bay GC in Oregon.

Kent Prine announced the launch of the Buckeye Tour last Thursday in the following press release, but there are still a number of unanswered questions:

Some Help for the Old and Broken Guys in 2012

I know I’m not the only player in Northeast Ohio who has a creaky back, aching knees, tight hips, or some other chronic bone or muscle ailment that can make focusing on golf a challenge. So when I heard Fred Couples’ news conference from this week’s L.A. The Northeast Ohio Golf Community Loses an Excellent Player and a Great Guy: Jon Brown

Westfield Country Club member and frequent Chippewa Monday Big Skins Game player Jon Brown of Creston died suddenly on Thursday, Jan. 26 in Winter Haven, FL. He was 47.

Jon was a great guy, fun to be around, happy-go-lucky and never an angry word. He was also a heck of a player. It’s tough to lose someone like that from our group and our lives.
