Simpson & Oates, Marr & Trier Top ADGA Lazor 2-M
The teams of Mike Simpson & Dave Oates and Dave Trier & Dan Marr shared top honors in the 2010 ADGA Lazor 2-Man better ball event at Chippewa Golf Club on Saturday.
Each team shot a 6-under par 65, two shots better than the three teams who tied for third at 67.
Entry Blank Available for 2010 Portgage County Am
Entries are being taken for the 2010 Portage County Amateur Golf Championship, a multiple-division 36-hole stroke play tournament being played on a pair of solid courses: at Windmill Lakes Golf Course in Ravenna on Saturday, July 24th and at Aurora Golf Club on Sunday, July 25th.
Furlong, Brick Cruise to NEO Am Titles
John Furlong and Norton Brick cruised to their respective Championship and Senior titles in the 2010 Northeast Ohio Amateur Invitational on Monday, in the 80th playing of this long running event presented by the Northern Ohio Golf Association.
Lambos Captures ADGA 36-Hole Stroke Play
Nick Lambos of Canton didn’t back off his first round lead.
Lambos put together a solid round of even par 72 on Sunday at the challenging Seven Hills Country Club in Hartville to win the 2010 ADGA Lanning’s 36-Hole Stroke Play Tournament by one shot over Aaron Crewes of Uniontown.
Lambos, Beal Lead ADGA 36-Holer
Nick Lambos and defending champion Ross Beal lead the pack after tying with a score of 69 after round one of the 2010 ADGA Lannings Restaurant 36-hole stroke play event.
But a huge number of players are right on their heels, including 11 players who are within five shots of the lead going into day two at Seven Hills CC on Sunday.
