Boulder Creek Golf Club in Streetsboro announces a Shootout Pro-Am Scramble on Tuesday, August 18th that could net the winner a tidy $5,000.
And no player will go away hungry, either.
Open to 2-player teams of 1 Pro + 1 Amateur or 2 Amateurs, the first place team prize will winn $5,000 with the top nine teams earning prizes, based on a full field of 72 teams.
There will also be a $3,000 skins pot in play with a full field, too!
The entry fee is just $200 per player and covers golf with cart, range, plus the event and skins game entries.
But that $200 also gets every player plenty to eat all day long: donuts and coffee before the 8 a.m. shotgun start; a hot dog lunch with keg beer at the turn; and a chicken fettuccini dinner afterwards! A pretty great deal.
Prize money will be paid to the pros to allow amateurs concerned about USGA status to compete. Teams of two ams who play together have the option to take gift certificates as their prize if they are concerned about status, or cash if not.
