Lou Boarman lapped the field in the final results of The Open Championship at Royal Liverpool in the most recent Zoar Golf Club PGA TOUR Fantasy Series tournament on Northern Ohio Golf.
Boarman had the foresight to select winner Brian Harman, who rolled to a bracket-busting 6-shot victory over a host of T2 finishers: Jason Day, Jon Rahm, Joohyung Kim and Sepp Straka. Harman finished at an eye-popping 13 under par total.
Josh Prok finished in second place and also selected Harman as part of his rotation. The difference was that Boarman chose Thomas Detry as one of his third column picks, and Detry finished at 3-under par. Detry is quite the selection by Boarman, who finished at 25-under par total, while Prok totaled 21-under par.
Mike Simpson took the third place spot at 17-under par. Simpson did not select Harman, but did choose Rahm, McIlroy, Hovland and Fleetwood to shore up his prize-winning spot.
Boarman earned $195 for his victory, Prok won $117 for second place, and Simpson received $78 for third.
The next tournament on the Zoar Golf Club PGA TOUR Fantasy Series roster will be the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club on August 24-27. The format for this event will be a bit different, as only 30 players make the start in Atlanta. Watch for play rules and signup details in the weeks ahead.
