Ashland Am-Am Trims 2012 Event to One Day

Country Club of AshlandCountry Club of Ashland pro Dan Priest announced today that he has decided to turn the 51st playing of the Ashland Am-Am into a one day affair, eliminating the Saturday Member-Am portion to better focus on Sunday’s 2-man better ball main event.

In the past, the Ashland Am-Am offered a two-day aggregate option, run in conjunction with an Am/Member better ball event on Saturday and the main event on Sunday. But as player preferences (and perhaps available amounts of free time) have changed over the last few years, the Saturday event became less well-attended.

Focusing all effort on the Sunday event should help the tournament continue to shine as one of the top amateur four ball competitions in Ohio.

See the 2012 Ashland Am-Am event details in the Tournament Calendar.
