Field lost 5 senior letter winners last year, meaning they are currently in the process of rebuilding. “We have strength in numbers,” explained Coach Bryan Mahaffey. Field has 16 players in their program, which is a very good number for the size of their school. They will look to build off that depth and see what their young players can contribute.

Ravenna made a big jump over the past two seasons. In 2020 they finished last in the Metro Conference and improved to end up in 3rd place last season. Seniors Abbie Retherford, Landon Skilton, and Marcus Gibson are set to have outstanding seasons for the Ravens. Retherford nearly made the Girls State Tournament last year and will be even better this season. Both Skilton and Gibson averaged 43.9 in 2021 and have had a very productive off season. “As a team we will be very competitive in the Metro Conference and could be a contender,” said coach Terry Kekic. Carson Schueller, a Sophomore rookie, could be a key player for the Ravens this fall.

A good deal of returning players and the addition of Josh Williams to the roster should help Streetsboro to improve on last year’s record. The Rockets were very young last year. “That year’s experience should help,” explained coach Bruce Thomas. “Two of our seniors, Kyle Liddle and Josh Williams should have outstanding seasons.”
