Though it was a beautiful day outside, the 1899 Wednesday Scratch Big Skins Game kicked off inside 1899 Golf in Twinsburg last night, with a great start.
Players battled difficult pin positions on Medinah Country Club’s famed #3 Course, on the back nine. There were lots of great shots and putts holed, but in the end only two skins were awarded.
Joe Meissner struck early with a birdie on #11, then he dodged a few attempts to tie.
Three other holes had birdies cancelled out during the round: #13, #14 and #17.
Then it all came down to hole #18 where Shawn Nicely made a great birdie then no others really threatened.
Joe and Shawn each earned $110 for their efforts.
