Bobby Harmon + Eric Coleman made a strong closing finish, making birdie at 17 and 18 to come out as the big winners in Week 17 of the Chippewa Scratch League.
Harmon and Coleman tied for first place at 6-under par in the scramble format with Tyler Watkins + Ryan Stefanski. But their birdie-2 on the par-3 17th also earned them half of the skins pot, making for a solid ROI. Their take bumped the pair to T5 on the 2021 Leaderboard.
The final Chippewa Scratch League session of the 2021 season will be played next week Monday, October 4th in the 3/3/3 format. Entry fees will be $10 for each three hole segment ($30), $15 for the 9-hole total, and $15 for the skins pot, plus golf+cart. (Since the season has been rain-out extended so late, there will no steak after play.)
Mike Simpson continues to sit atop the 2021 Leaderboard, but his cushion is now only $75. With the extra cash in the pot for the finale, it should be an interesting race to the finish…
