Shayne Bishop and Ken Koprivec birdied the first five holes in the scramble format on the back nine in the Chippewa Scratch League on Monday.
With four closing pars, it was simply too good of a start for any team to catch.
Sure, Bernie Chupek and Dave ‘Big’ Petracca gave it a run, getting to 4-under by making birdies on two of their last three holes. But out of the gate, their par on the par-5 10th hole did them in.
And Jeff Dean and JP Jones were 3-under par after their first four holes, but they could only find one more birdie coming to the house.
It took an eagle to win a skin on Monday: four new names made their way onto the Leaderboard with a three on each of the opening par 5s, good for $160 per skin.
