The First Portage County Kids Amateur teed off on Friday, July 24th at Kent State University Golf Course with a whopping 25 girls ages 7 to 12 participating.
Divided into age divisions, the girls 8 and under played four holes, the girls 9 and 10 played 6 holes, and the oldest group played the full nine holes on the front nine.
Helping with the Amateur was Bryan Harvey, coach of the Kent Roosevelt girls varsity team and his assistant coach, Larry Picicco.
The boys edition of the First Kids Amateur played on Wednesday with eight boys competing.
