The weather finally cooperated, and a big 24-team field took on Chippewa Golf Club on Monday in Week 6 of the 2-Man Scratch League in a back-nine scramble.
The biggest story from the evening: Week 8 will feature a CARRY-OVER SKIN.
Mark Thomas and Tom Seever tied for first place with Mike Simpson and Jim Krivanek. Both teams posted a solid 5-under par 31 on a golf course that is really rounding into shape.
Three teams tied for third place at 4-under par, listed below.
But the $480 sitting in the skins pot went unclaimed, meaning Week 7 should feature a giant field with a skins pot pushing $1,000! Get an amateur partner and come take your shot — the format is expected to be better ball on the front nine.
Since this week’s winners were not yet on the board and the skins went begging, no big changes to the 2015 Chippewa Scratch League Leaderboard, led by Shane Bishop. But that may not be the story after next week…
