On a cold, breezy and damp first Monday evening in June (JUNE!), Ed Diebold and Shayne Bishop lapped the field in the scramble format at the Chippewa Scratch League and jumped to the top of the Leaderboard in the process.
The pair posted a sizzling score of 5-under par 30 on the front nine to win easily, by two shots.
They also nabbed one of the two skins won on the day with a birdie at the tough par-4 fifth hole.
Bishop and Diebold’s big-winner haul of $252 jumps them to the top of the 2015 Chippewa Scratch League Leaderboard by more than $150 each, as they have cashed in 3 of 4 events played.
Joe Flosse and Rick Smith added to their season total with a second place finish at 3-under par, moving them to T7 on the year.
Kyle Oyler and Jack Marinelli put their names on the Leaderboard for the first time, nabbing a skin at the par-3 sixth.
A nice showing of 16 teams braved the elements, wearing ski hats and gloves. In June.
