Instead, Dave Oates and Sam Spino made the easiest $700 of their golf careers.
On an evening where the wind was down and the golf course played pretty easy in the better ball format on the front nine, no team stepped up to run away and claim an outright victory.
The team of Quinn Parker and Jon Clark tied with Dave Oates and Sam Spino for first place, playing well enough to earn a share of victory at just 3-under par.
But Oates and Spino made themselves the big winners of the day by grabbing the only skin with an eagle on the par-5 third hole, good for $440 for the skin and a $700 total.
Russ Rybka and Drew Thompson could have joined the winners at 3-under except for a very short par putt miss at the sixth. But they still earned the scorecard playoff for third place with their birdie on hole 8.
The Spino/Oates haul moves them to third and fourth on the 2013 Money Standings List.
