Quinn Parker paired with partner Corey Leedy on Monday in the Shamble format — both players tee off, best shot selected, each player makes a score on his own ball from there and the aggregate score counts — and they played well enough together in that tricky format to win by two shots.
The pair posted a smooth 6-under par 64 to sail to the win on a beautiful summer evening for golf.
In addition to the victory, Parker and Leedy also nabbed a skin with double-birdies on the second hole, good for a $283 haul for each. That double-dip amount move Parker into fifth position on the 2012 Chippewa Scratch League Standings.
A reminder: next week Monday, July 16th, the early skins game will not be held at Chippewa due to an outing; watch NEOHgolf.com for information on the early game location later this week.
