With winds of 15-20 mph that kept the rest of the field over par, Ty Kovach and Allen Freeman posted a 5-under par score of 65 in the combined total format on the front nine in the Chippewa Scratch League on Monday evening, winning by a whopping 7 shots.
Four teams tied for second place at 2-over par 72. McKinney believed the 65 score to be a record-setting number for the aggregate format, where both players’ individual stroke play scores are added together to make the team total. Kovach shot a bogey-free 32, Freeman 33.
There is no league play next Monday because of Memorial Day. (NOTE: the $50 Big Skins Game WILL BE PLAYED next Memorial Day Monday beginning at 11:30 a.m.!)
The following Monday, June 6th league night is the deadline for paying the yearly entry fee by all Scratch League teams, so that weekly gift certificate amounts can be determined. If your team has not yet paid the very affordable $165 per man for the season, get it in!
