2009 Cleveland Shoot-Out Announced

The Greater Cleveland Skins Game is pleased to announce that its 2009 Greater Cleveland Shoot-Out will be held on Labor Day Monday, September 7 at Chardon Lakes Golf Course. This will be the first time this 18-hole stroke play event will be held at Chardon Lakes.

The $750 first place prize is guaranteed courtesy of sponsors Steve’s Sports and Blonde John’s Tickets, to allow amateurs to “play like the pros for a day” in this unique event started by Ed Tresger at Fairway Pines Golf Course almost 20 years ago.

“We are delighted to have Chardon Lakes host this great event this year, and we are grateful to them for  offering our players a special $25 greens fee on a holiday,” says tournament director John Niedzialek. “And of course, we are grateful to the sponsors who give the event it’s punch.”

Entry into this event is limited: players must qualify to enter the Shoot-Out in one of two ways: 1) be a Past Shoot-Out Champion and play at least 3 times in the 2009 Greater Cleveland Skins Game; or 2) play in at least four Greater Cleveland Skins Game events in 2009.

Guaranteed first place prize will be $750, with additional prizes based on the number of entries. The Shoot-Out event entry fee is $50 per player plus the $25 green fee, with optional side games and skins available on the first tee as well.

Entry deadline is Friday, September 4th at 5 p.m. — no exceptions! Players MUST have their $50 entry fee in by that deadline to play. Entry fee may be sent to John Niedzialek, 6875 Morley Rd. Concord, Ohio 44077 or it can be mailed or dropped off at Chardon Lakes Golf Course (make all checks payable to John Niedzialek). Questions? Email golf@ClevelandSkins.com or call (440) 639-8524.
