Five former champions will be part of a large field when the 92nd Habitec Toledo Open is played at Stone Oak Country Club in Holland, Ohio on Monday and Tuesday, September 12-13.
Ten states and two countries, the United States and Canada, will be represented in the 54-hole event conducted by the Northern Ohio Section of the Professional Golfers Association of America.
Six former champions – Ian Martin (Saline, Mich. 2020), Beau Breault (Howell, Mich. 2019), Nate Tarter (Mogadore, Oh. 2017), Mike Stone (Perrysburg, Oh. 2014) Tim Ailes (Delaware, Oh. 2004 and 2013) and Gary Rusnak (Painesville, Oh. 1987 and 1989) will be part of the 138-player field.
Competition will be held for Seniors (for players 50-and-older) as well as the Open Division.
The list of former champions in this prestigious event include Byron Nelson (1940-1943), Frank Stranahan (1951, 1954, 1963), Rob Moss (1991-92) and current PGA Tour member Ryan Armour (2002).
The list also includes a large number of prominent members of the Northern Ohio Section of the PGA, including Hall of Famers Tony Milam and Gary Trivisonno, who will compete in the Senior Division.
