PREVIEW: 2024 Greatest Golfer

The Greatest Golfer Championships, presented by Farmers National Bank, is entering its 15th year.

For adults, this year’s Greatest Golfer Series will feature one spring event plus the namesake Greatest Golfer Championship in August. The Long Drive and Par-3 Contest will also be conducted in advance of that Championship.

For the juniors, a ten-event series will be played this year, leading to a 36-hole Championship in mid-July — which leads junior players right into the high school golf seasons.

Given that some of the region’s big junior golf tours sold out of their memberships quickly leaving many juniors without a place to play, Greatest Golfer Director Todd Franko welcomes any juniors to join in on their summer-long junior competitions, which open on May 5th at the Lake Club.

The adult competition kicks off at the Links at Firestone on April 28th with the Belleria Pizza 2-Player Best Ball. Then in August, the Long Drive and Par-3 contests kick off the Greatest Golfer tournament week. That event is followed by the three-day, 54-hole grand finale.
