The Northern Ohio Section of the Professional Golfers Association (NOPGA) proudly announces its 12 award winners for the 2024 season. These distinguished professionals and associates will be honored during the Section Awards Dinner on December 8th at the Cary Blair Center, adjacent to Westfield Country Club.
The winners, selected by the NOPGA Selection Committee, exemplify excellence and dedication within the golfing community. The evening will also include special recognition for the 2024 Hall of Fame inductees and Junior Tour Players of the Year.
2024 Award Winners:
Golf Professional of the Year: Michael Spiech, Head Professional at Tippecanoe Country Club
Assistant Professional of the Year: Ian Haidle, Shady Hollow Country Club
Bill Strausbaugh Award: Dale Davis, Director of Golf at Firestone Country Club
Merchandiser of the Year (Private): Tim Perin, Head Professional at Lakewood Country Club
Merchandiser of the Year (Public): Herb Page, Director of Golf at Windmill Lakes Golf Course
Patriot Award: Erin Craig, Head Professional at North Olmsted Golf Course
Player Development Award: Drew Pierson, Head Professional at The Clubhouse-Cleveland
Youth Player Development Award: Jimmy Beers, Director of Instruction for Jimmy Beers Golf
Professional Development Award: Todd Casabella, Director of Instruction at Barrington Golf Club
Teacher & Coach of the Year: Jason Carbone, Head Professional at Canterbury Golf Club
Sales Representative of the Year (Hard goods): Jenny Gleason, XXIO Golf
Sales Representative of the Year (Soft goods): Andrew Bailey, Holderness & Bourne
Awards Dinner Ticket Information
The NOPGA Section Awards Dinner will commence with cocktails and registration at 4:30 p.m., followed by the awards presentation and dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. The event will be moderated by Jimmy Hanlin, PGA, who will engage award winners on stage as they share their career stories and insights.
