Located on the north side of Willoughby only a mile and a half from State Route 2, Lost Nation Golf Course is a City of Willoughby municipal golf facility, featuring an 18 hole course with a driving range, putting green and snack bar.
The course was designed by Englishman Harry Colt — often called ‘the most influential golf course architect of all time’ — and Detroit native Charles H. Alison. Together the pair designed the highly-regarded Kirtland Country Club nearby, plus other well-known North American courses like Toronto Golf Club, Detroit Golf Club, and finished the famed Pine Valley Golf Club in New Jersey.
The front nine features two newly remodeled par-5 holes and one of the best par-3s in the area. The back nine features the difficult 15th hole plus five holes where water comes into play.
