The semi-finalists in each of the NOGA Scratch Match Play Championships have been determined. In the Net Match Play Championships, Quarterfinalists have earned their positions. So let’s take a quick spin around all the NOGA Match Play Championship brackets to see which players and teams have survived through July 2021.

GREAT LAKES AUTO SCRATCH SERIES MATCH PLAY

INDIVIDUAL SCRATCH MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIPS >

The two top seeds on the top half of the Open Division bracket have both earned their spots in the semi-finals: Jeff Blechschmidt and Tim Skufca will face off against each other before the August 15th deadline. In the lower half, Zach Glassman will play Brian Polick after both players won convincingly in the quarters.

In the Senior Division, the four remaining players are names consistently seen on the top of NOGA leaderboards. Tom Baugh rides a hot hand as the 16th seed and will play the fifth-seeded multiple POY award winner Monty Guest. In the lower bracket, the top seeds both advanced as Tom Laubaucher and Mark Guadagni will square off. Laubacher cruised in his quarterfinals match, but the three other players just snuck by with 1up and extra hole victories.

FOUR-BALL SCRATCH MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIPS >

Defending Open Division Four-Ball Match Play champs Josh Clay + Kurt Peterson continued their winning ways, taking down the tough duo of Doug Barber + Brian Smith in the Quarters. They will now have to face the past U.S. Four-Ball qualifying team of Chris Okeson + Steve Putinksi in the semis to determine the lower bracket finalists.

In the upper bracket, Patrick Gallagher + Brian Polick (Polick is also in the Individual semis) won convincingly in the quarters, and will take on the team of Ben Farina + Greg Kencson, who slid past Rick Areddy + Tommy Miano 1up in the semis.

Mark Guadagni and Jim Durr

On the bottom half of that bracket, Mike Cassell + Tom Laubacher upset the second-seeded Larry Lahnan + Fred Miller in the quarters, and will now face the #3 seed Monty Guest + Brian Sparrow after that pair blitzed their way to a 6&5 quarterfinals victory.

NOGA FLIGHTED SERIES MATCH PLAY

NET INDIVIDUAL MATCH PLAY >

The #4 seeded David Tomko has cruised his way through the early rounds and into the Quarterfinals, and will now face #53 Doug Phillips the bottom half of the Upper Bracket. #24 Chuck Adya will play #49 Howard Berry in the upper half to determine the semifinalists.

In the Lower Bracket, #18 Bill Zapf upset #2 James Reidy in the Round of 16, and will now face #10 Craig Dunlap. In the bottom half of that Lower bracket, #3 Ed Ruper will take on #6 Dennis Fujka.

NET FOUR-BALL MATCH PLAY >

Seedings in the Net Four-Ball Matches have gone out the window, as the Upper and Lower brackets are both awash in high-seeded quarterfinalists.

In the Upper Bracket, #32 Jeff Miller + Britt Lilley will take on #40 Adam Blum + Jon Kaplan in the upper half, while #61 Mike Pappas + Al Salvatore will try to hold off #44 Irwin Mandel + Dan Rose in the lower.

In the Lower Bracket, #34 Doug Hauenstein + Tim Swanda go up against #23 Doug Hartman + Greg Helick in the quarters, while the lowest remaining seed John Johnston + David Sattler at #14 will take on #22 Mike Lintelman + Tom Meola.
