Akron District Golf Assn


The Board of the Akron District Golf Association distributed an official news release to its members yesterday, outlining changes to its schedule and policies. That release follows: “The ADGA Executive Board has made some major changes to the 2009 tournament schedule. 

In an effort to make the schedule more flexible for some of the multi-day events, and to add more one-day events to the rotation, the Akron District Golf Association has announced a series of changes with the release of its finalized 2009 tournament schedule.

This weekend’s 36-hole “Golfer of the Year” stroke play event has been cancelled by director Tim Davis: “After much discussion, the ADGA Executive Board deeply regrets that the 2008 Golfer of the Year Tournament must be cancelled due to scheduling constraints.We had a tremendous year with participation and sponsorship and we regret having to end …
