Play in the biggest amateur championship of the year in the region! Entries are being accepted for the 93rd Northeast Ohio Amateur Championship and the 3rd Northeast Ohio Women’s Amateur Championship, contested at Windmill Lakes Golf Club in Ravenna.
The Men’s, Mid-Am, and Senior 54-hole events will be played on Saturday, June 10 through Monday, June 12. The 36-hole Women’s tournament will be played Sunday, June 11 and Monday, June 12.
Originally known as the Plain Dealer Invitational, the Northeast Ohio Amateur Championship was rescued and rebranded by the Northern Ohio Golf Association in 1965. The NEOAm has had a history of illustrious champions, the most notable being Arnold Palmer, the young Coast Guard Yeoman stationed in Cleveland in 1953. Also of note, three-time NEOAm champ Bob Shave Jr. played the professional tour, and Joe Ungvary Sr., a five-time NEOAm Champion, won the USGA’s U.S. Senior Amateur Championship. PAST CHAMPIONS >
