- David Swab shot a pair of 70s to win the Shawnee Hills Championship title by two shots over Rick Deichert, while a score of 154 was required to move on to the Cleveland Am;

- Ryan Sam won the Open Division, Evan Ferrara the County, Rachel DiDonato the Women's at the Portage County Amateur Championships;

- Portage Country Club’s Tyler Peterson, Casey Juve, Katie Orendorf and Sarah O’Neill fired 19-under par to take home the NOPGA Janice Moodie Pro / 3 Lady at Avon Oaks;

- Incoming Brunswick freshman Ellie Gonzalez-Ribble shot 68 with seven birdies to win the individual title at the Ohio Girls Golf Foundation Showcase at Avon Oaks, while Magnificat won the team event;

- Entry deadline is this Wednesday, July 31st at 6pm for this weekend's Summit County Amateur at Good Park, sign up now;

- Ryan Yoder of Amherst and Molly McGreal of Independence received $10,000 scholarships from the NOPGA Section Foundation during ceremonies at Club Walden;

- Follow the action from the Northern Ohio PGA Junior Tour's Kenny Novak Championship this week at Club Walden;

- Players who have qualified or are exempt into the Cleveland Amateur Championship at Sleepy Hollow must complete their championship proper entries before Aug 5th to be eligible to compete;
