CARRY-OVER! The last group of the Week 11 session knocked out all the remaining skin chances on Monday, so that means next Monday’s Better Ball on the front nine of Chippewa will have a huge skins pot attached to it.
Mike Simpson + Bobby Spino tied with Bernie Chupek + Tyler Watkins in the back nine scramble on Monday, each posting 6-under par 30.
Simpson increased his lead even further on the 2021 Chippewa Scratch League leaderboard, now cracking the four-figure mark for the season.
But with a healthy turn-out of teams drawn by the carry-over lucre next week, if a pair can sweep the skins pot and nab a victory, Simpson’s lead could shrink — or perhaps be overtaken.
P.S. — don’t forget, if you didn’t play in Week 11, you must cover the previous week’s $10/player skins pot entry in addition to the standard entry fees to compete in Week 12, adding even more heft to that skins pot…
