NOPGA Accepting Entries for 2011 Ohio Senior Open at Firestone West

Northern Ohio PGA SectionThe Northern Ohio PGA is now accepting applications for the 26th Michelob Ultra/ Ohio Senior Open, to be played May 11-12 at Firestone Country Club’s West Course, in Akron, Ohio.

New to the Ohio Senior Open this year, the NOPGA will offer a “Super Senior Division” for those players 60 years of age and older. These golfers will play from Firestone West’s hybrid tees (6,100 yards), which play 500 yards less than the main division’s tees (6,600 yards).

The tournament, sponsored by Michelob Ultra and, is open to all Ohio golfers 50 years of age or older as of May 11 with a handicap index limit of 8.0.

The tournament entry fee, which covers tournament rounds, cart, lunch and practice range, is $230 for PGA professionals and amateurs, and $255 for non-PGA professionals.
